W00t! My first tutorial. Some people asked me to do it and I saw that some people needed some help using thir colouring programmes,so I decided to do this tutorial. The tutorial is for the GIMP software but this tips can be used in any programme because I didn't used nothing more than the general tools that every programme have.
Off-topic:
<<"I was wondering who could be the person who will help me with the tutorial,so,I thought Nina could do it.Nina is used to appear in my pics but she's very shy in the matter to be seen from her own sketch until the final version.
Awesome tutorial!! I have a question though... when I open an already drawn file in gimp, it automatically says "background" for the layer. And when I open new layers to color, the outline isn't showing up (it's colored over...). Do you know what's wrong with that? Thank you!

Probably that happens because that file is saved as a flat image (jg, bmp, etc) tat can't handle trasnparencies. In that case change the mode of the layer called background to "multiply" and see if that works. Also, if you are using layers over the background layer you must see the colours it's impossible you can't see them. If you can't, check the tool selected and see if you have made accidentally a slection and turn it off.
Thanks! And what I meant is the line art won't show after it's colored, not the colors don't show. I'll try that.. but, how do you change the layer mode? :3

Oh thank you so much for putting this up, I FINALLY know how to work my program properly!!! You are the best in the universe, you rock! Now that I know how to use this, I'm definitely posting more digital art; I have you to thank!
Not at all! In regards to your question to crop an image yo can do it through to methods:
1st: Choose a tool that looks like a cutter in the upper lines of the tools window, make the selection and click inside the selected space to crop.
2nd: Go to upper tab called Image and then click on Canvas Size and decide the size of the canvas and how you want to center the image. Combine it with the resize image option.
